Cynopsis: Moving FAST in a New Direction

Paul Epstein recently spoke with Cynopsis in a new interview about the future of TV and his advice for budding producers entering the industry. 

Major streaming platforms have created an oversaturation of super-high-budget shows which, spurred by a changing economic outlook, has now become unsustainable. Paul argues that there needs to be a shift towards more modestly-budgeted television that is focused on quality rather than marketability. 

He believes that FAST channels are the answer. But, if they want to embrace the changing tide away from major streaming platforms, Paul argues that these channels should follow the lead of streamers such as HBO which release new episodes weekly rather than all at once.
