In an article with EIN News, Paul Epstein declares Missoula the Hollywood of the Mountain West, marking the area’s prevalence in the Western genre. 

Epstein points to a host of factors that make Missoula a perfect filming location for Westerns, from its international airport to its diverse and instantly-recognizable backdrops. He praises Missoula’s local amenities such as quality restaurants and hotels. 

However, Epstein also believes that Missoula can do more to solidify its position as the Hollywood of the Mountain West, and suggests that the Missoulian government do more to continue attracting film and TV studios to the area.
